This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Perrigo, the makers of Members Mark Infant Formula. All opinions are 100% mine.
I told you about the nutritional value and price advantage of Sam’s Club Members Mark Advantage Infant Formula in my a previous post. But, I cannot stop raving about this product. So in this post I will focus on something fun we did with Sam’s Club Members Mark Advantage1 Infant Formula, just the other day. As my baby grows, he has become interested in having more variety in his diet. Drinking from a bottle has become boring to him. But, since he is only 8 months old he still needs all the nutritional support of a formula and cow’s milk is still not recommended for children his age.
Fortunately, you can substitute formula in for cow’s milk in some recipes. We modified this recipe http://wholesomebabyfood.momtastic.com/babycerealpancakes.htm a little and also used Members Mark Advantage Infant formula. It worked great. Our son loved working on his fine motor skills by feeding himself the tiny pancakes and my husband ate some of the larger ones.
Here is our recipe.
Pancakes with Baby Cereals and Members Mark Advantage Infant Formula
-1 cup of whole wheat flour
– ½ cup uncooked boxed commercial rice baby cereals
– ½ cup uncooked boxed commercial oatmeal cereals
– 1 cup of Members Mark Advantage Infant formula
– ½ of mashed banana or you can add 2 oz of Gerber banana puree or any other mashed or pureed fruit.
– 1 tbsp of melted, unsalted butter
– 3 egg yolks
– ½ water or apple juice
You can even try introduce baby to some spices adding cinnamon, nutmeg or vanilla as one of the ingredients to your pancakes
Mix pancakes’ ingredients together and add enough water to make it pancake consistency.
